4/20/19 - Switzerland Trail

Met up with sixditchoffroad, his buddy, a buddy of mine through Team Rubicon, and two dudes from Facebook - one of which brought his GF.

3 XJ's, 1 JK, and 1 Toyota 4runner

AMAZING run - we were doing the regular trail and getting a little itchy to challenge the rigs when we decided to take a (legitimate) spur road that had steep decline initially. This came to another hook up and it had enough snow to make it interesting. Sixditch went first and got a *little* close to the edge, we ended up strapping his left rear with a tow rope to hold him from tipping. He set the bar awfully high.

There were quite a few other groups up there - everyone was chill, and we BS'd with some of the other groups.

I used to wheel a LOT back in college and always ran open open and never had hardly any issues, but I have literally 0 experience in snow (surprisingly) which was an eye opener for me. I'm getting my ARB compressor (to run my f/r ARB's) installed very soon to ensure I'm never in that spot again.

I'll get some pics up ASAP.

Yeah it was a great trip. Everyone was kinda reserved with each other at first, but after that off-camber hill, everyone needed everyone's help so we didn't flop, I thought it brought the group together, it was great. My buddy is editing the 7 hours of go-pro footage and should have it on youtube soon (i hope).

I take it the red two door is flogging my old axles? Glad to see they're getting used!

Yes it is. The best money spent besides the tires.

Yeah that's one of my favorite parts about the hobby. Start the day as 7 people who mostly hadn't met and by the end of the day you have new friends..

It was great meeting/wheeling with you!! Looking forward to that gopro footage!
