FEELER: NJ: TRADE my 2001 TJ for your newer XJ

Hi there,

This is a FEELER for a trade for a Jeep Cherokee XJ, preferably 98 or newer, I6, 4wd, in similar condition/modification level of my TJ (i.e. mild lift/larger tires)

NOT looking for a beater, but something that has been well taken care of, can be driven daily, has a clean title, does not have a D35, and is in equal mechanical shape to what I have to offer.

ALSO, is in within reasonable distance to southern New Jersey (approx. 15 min. from Philadelphia).

History:
Original owner, purchased new off the lot, paid off. Extended powertrain warranty has run out. Has been used mildly offroad in sand/muddy trails typical of NJ/PA. Has not been off pavement in the last year. Has never broken down & currently does not have any major problems. Has been well taken care of & pretty much babied for most of its life. Never been in a traffic accident…have hit a dear once & all repairs were made professionally (only minor body damage, nothing structural).

Kelley Blue Book:
Excellent: $11,950
Good: $11,185
Fair: $10,175

I would classify the truck between good/excellent condition & would want a straight trade (or cash involved) for an XJ of similar value.

Hey Man, I'm not very close to you, but my jeep sounds like what you are looking for. Here are some pics:

Info:

2001 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L, Auto, 4X4, approx 62K miles.
2" Heavy Duty Old Man Emu Lift w shocks and steering stabilizer
Tomken Carnage front bumper
Tomken rear bumper with tire carrier and rear quarter gaurds
Tomken rocker rails
(5) 31" X 10.50 Goodyear MT/Rs on stock five spokes
Have a set of Performance Metal Works door gaurds, but not installed yet
Interior is stock with the exception of Husky floor liners

I still owe on it, so we would have to work something out with that, but shouldn't be too difficult. Let me know what ya think.

Update!

Just wanted to thank everyone for their time...recieved a bunch of inquiries/offers & some were rather tempting.

I really like XJ's, but for now, the best thing for me is to keep the TJ.

Thx all,

Mark
