Re: Things I learned at Colofest 06

26. Everyone has their price... you just need to find it and not be cheap.

27. "Chicago Style" is alive and rockin' in La Junta and Castle Rock!

28. Diets are meant to be broke.

29. Never trade half your tickets with Joey, loan JohnJohn money for tickets or ask Led for a $35 "loan" that he owes you because you won't win.

30. Camper's rock so f'ing hard during rainstorms!!

31. Some of the best drinking goes down outside bathrooms.

32. Being laid-up isn't so bad with good friends around.

33. I REALLY need to stay away from the Nissan dealership and Led's tow rig.

34. Daryl and his rig reminds me of the asians in Cannonball Run.

35. I definitely can be bought if the price is right (ref: JohnJohn #24)

36. Don't eat Burger King with Jeff around because odd's are he'll know the local barefoot rifraf... and don't expect John to help you out when you're trying to keep a straight face!

37. sometimes it's tough to show enough appreciation to good friends (ref: Justin #12, Jeff #4 and JohnJohn)

38. trying to convince a 7 year old that you went to college while coming down obstacles makes easy obstacles a whole hell of a lot harder!! (really, I think i was absent that day they taught us how the "brain" works) .

39. The sun might be made of Helium and "Hieroglyphics".

Re: Things I learned at Colofest 06

I was only there for an afternoon, but here goes....

1. Thank you Mother Nature for giving us that 4 hour window of sunshine to hold the dinner and raffle!

2. Chalk Creek RV and Campground's facilities get nicer every year and the hosts are awesome to give us a place to work on our rigs hassle free!

3. Welcome back Tomken!

4. Jeff gets REALLY cranky when drunks in full size Fords do idiotic things...

5. "11. My wife can leave Led speechless." God Bless her!

6. You can get DAryl out of Kansas, but you can't get Kansas out of DAryl....

7. Missing the final campfire of the event due to heavy rain really sucked!

8. Apparently raffle announcers can't say "TNT Customs" loud enough....

9. $102 bucks doesn't buy much of a hotel room this time of year..... ick.

10. Muddy dually tires make really cool rooster tails when leaving Old Chinaman's staging area!

11. We Colorado Chapter folks need to organize an "intervention" for our computer addicted t-shirt designer who shoulda been 'wheeling rather than buying a 3rd computer......

12. Seeing JohnJohn in the leather "Woody's" raffle jacket.... Far from Fonzie, more like overstuffed sausage....

13. Paula and Shauna did an awesome job with the Dinner! Thanks ladies!

14. Having to watch the group leave for Saturday's Chinamans run and not being able to run with 'em sucked!

15. Cooking pots really do make great CO2 tank brackets!

16. Hearing John Bjorum's friends say "You guys are crazy to do these trails" always satisfies!

17. Crutches and parking lot gravel don't mix well at all.

Re: Things I learned at Colofest 06

1. Next time I feel the urge to urinate while fishing....I'm going to go ASAP.

2. Getting out of a rain coat, backpack, and waders when you have to go badly is frightening.

3. Realizing that you're not quite home free and you have to still unzip your shorts at that point is traumatic.

4. Trying to get down a decent trail (for someone that doesn't wheel much) in the driving rain sucks.

5. It's amazing how occupied raw hide will keep 3 dogs.

6. If I ever want to win anything at a raffle I am going to have to run for office.

7. I could buy a tent that is based on the architecture of Fort Knox and still take on water.

8. I need to seek help with regard to fishing.

9. Perhaps instant coffee isn't such a bad way to go.

10. $9,000 for a Frod Bronco is NOT the same as $900.

11. "No Motor Vehicle" signs and large boulders are there to deter you from proceeding in that direction in any way other than 2 feet.

12. I have to consume more beer when it's 3.2% ABV.

13. Dog nails are trouble for air mattresses.

14. Under-inflated air mattresses feel like a water bed.
