4x4JeePmaNthINg, I didn't need to run dual coolers after bypassing the radiator, but I did for a couple of reasons. 1. I have a really heavy rig 2. I travel up in to the mountains to wheel a lot. 3. I am paranoid, and all about overkill. 
I mounted both in front of the radiator. I did add a pusher fan to the front of the radiator, and have done the electric fan override, and put both on when wheeling. I have no problems in keeping the rig cool. I noticed when I put the winch on, it restricts a lot more of the airflow to the engine than the dual tranny coolers.
