Rocktoberfest advice needed

Hey guys, Ill be going to rocktoberfest, and planning on wheeling blues and greens because I only have a 3 inch Bds lift, and 31s on it right now. Any advice I should know before going in, or any essentials that I'll need for these trails? I appreciate any help

You'll want to get familiar with this list

  3. Safety Inspectors will use this list for safety inspections prior to any event. The Safety Inspector has final say in approval or rejection of any vehicle for event participation and may at anytime defer to a second event or club officer for additional ruling.
  4. expects each event participant to carry insurance and registration sufficient to meet the legal requirements of their vehicle state of residence and for the roads and trails traveled for the event. is not responsible for assuring an entrant's vehicle is legal for the roads and trails traveled in the event.

Thanks! You think I'll be alright without any underbody armor? I've never done rocks before.

You will be fine. If youre a newbie to rocks, you've found the best crew you could ask for to break you in right. You will have fun, guaranteed!

Yep, listening to fellow NACers while driving over rocks will definitely break your Jeep in alright...

But seriously, if I were you, I'd not try to do anything too crazy in terms of rocks. My unibody is all dented and trashed from NACfest since it wasn't braced and since I was a little over enthusiastic in my wheeling adventures. If you listen to the guys there, they really are a great bunch of people and will help you out.

(And don't listen to a big red head who looks like hellboy, and answers to the name Ross, he doesn't actually know what he is doing!)

Look at my beautiful spotting skills on your jeep!

A small XJ on 31's can do most of the park jsut fine, they even handle the harder stuff pretty well too. You'd be surprised how well they get around.

Re: Rocktoberfest advice needed

It seems like everyone starts with 3" and 31s. Its a great set-up! You actually have to pick lines, follow your spotter, and be careful. You'll have a blast, and don't be afraid to run some blues that look a little sketchy .... riding around on greens is fun, but only for a hour or so. You want a little bit of challenge.
