Been reading about a much as I can find on all the rigs with coilovers and/or long travel. One thing I keep coming across that I don't fully understand yet: What's the purpose behind an extremely long travel rear? Can you really use it? Goatman and others typically point to 12" front, but several cars are 16+" rears. Do the same stability considerations not apply?

You go shorter on the front because steering doesnt like to travel that much.

You can absolutely use it on the rear, if you can make it travel that far and dial the shocks in. Some of the KOH cars are running 20-30" of travel in the rear.
