What would you pay for a 74 Wagoneer

There's one for sale and it's basically everything I've wanted. It's 3hrs away, on non op, and needs tires. The paint is original but badly faded. Interior looks acceptable. Not great but not trashed. Seller says it runs, drives, stops, e.t.c.

Really depends.

1974 came with the AMC 360, TH400, Quadratrac transfer case.
That year came with D44's up front and in the back. The front had open knuckels and came with disc brakes.
If there is a N in the VIN the engine was a 2brl factory, if it had a P in the VIN it was a 4brl. 1974 was the first year for the 401 engine, and that vin code would be a Z. That would be the most desirable of all engines.
There are a few things that are cons on the 74 model year.
First thing is the rear springs used a post hanger (that was changed later on), and it used a cable to shift the low range unit.

I have two right now, but I did buy a 74 for parts.
PM me for my number if you want to know more about FSJ's.
