Change gauge cluster to full needle gauge cluster.

Has anybody ever changed the gauge cluster out in a 97 Jeep Cherokee to the gauges used in a 1999 Jeep Cherokee for example? I really do not like the gauges that provide no information and just have a light for oil and temp and would like to change to full needle gauges.

Thanks!

There are many threads of people having problems with swapping the gage clusters. The safe way is to get one from the same year as yours. Later models like the '99 feed the gages signals from the PCM, whereas earlier models feed the gages directly from the sensors themselves. And some years, high resistance is more gas in the tank, and some years it is less gas in the tank.
