Here are a few of our pics, I think someone was taking pics of us on Bald Mtn. going down the really steep granite rock. I'd love to have a pic of that, the wife and kids were in the jeep so I didn't get a pic of it.

I got more pics if ya want...

Sorry we couldnt have been more of a help. Was it a blocked radiator?

i don't think there's much more that could've really been done. i'm not sure at this point what it reeaallly was. i'm thinking that the cap was bad, didn't hold pressure, let all the coolant out, then the engine got hot. after i put the new cap on, refilled and burped it, i ran back to shaver, then drove up to my friends families cabin in huntington lake (they just so happened to be up last weekend), spent the weekend there and drove back to bakersfield. it's running normal temps now, but i think i'll find the open cooling to system to be easier to deal with. i'm gonna say i probably could've done the run, but the chance of holding everyone up wasn't worth the risk. there's always next trip, right?

Looks like you had a great run. As a former summer resident of the Dinkey Creek Forest Service compound I must say I love that country! Thanks for the pics!
