Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer to Play Joint Utah Show
Once in a lifetime opportunity to see two of the biggest stars of the ‘90s together

Long gone are the days when Vanilla Ice would have girls swooning at his feet with his sleek ‘do and “Ice Ice Baby,” or when MC Hammer would set the house on fire with his “U Can’t Touch This.” Nevertheless, neither of the two performers has forgotten his fans from back then and, especially for them, they will hold a one-night-only special joint gig in Utah.

According to reports in the media, the idea came to the two from the longtime friendship they have shared from back when they were still rivals in the charts. This time, it is being said, it’s not about the money that they’re doing this, but about the fans, who have clearly not forgotten them. So, what better way to thank them than by a joint gig on February 27, at the McKay Events Center in Orem, Utah? Admission is not free, of course.

As of now, not much is known about this once-in-a-lifetime type of event. What is known, though, is that both MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice will do their best to make this one night truly a memorable experience that will, perhaps, compensate for everything that happened since they last came out with something new and the public actually liked it. “Here’s how it will all go down: Hammer is bringing 24 dancers and a full choir; Ice is bringing… himself as far as we can tell. It is evidently the pair’s first show together since the early 1990s, when both were whole-scale radio stars.” Rolling Stone informs.

Back in their heyday, when Hammer and Vanilla were ruling the charts, trying to outdo each other, they were still friends, it has been said. Their follow-up albums, as we all know, were huge flops and were almost immediately followed by two of the harshest critical backlashes ever recorded in the history of music. Consequently, the two performers retired from the spotlight: MC Hammer found consolation in the church, while Vanilla Ice turned to television (a failed career too) and held the headlines with his troubled personal life.

Be that as it may, their coming together on the same stage can’t be but good news, the same music-oriented publication has it – that is, if fans of the two are still willing to shell out $29.50 for general admission, or $35.50 for reserved seating for the Utah gig.

gives some validity to "ice is back colaborate and listen"... i'd go do some if i lived close. One of the best songs to a stolen beat ever.
