My jeep build with photos over the last few years.

I had to cut the bolt on both sides of the leaf inside the front perch, then cut a rectangle on the bottom of the frame bracket that houses the nut.. fish the old one out, tacked the new ones in... I reinforced the bracket but left the access hole for future wrench on nut use if the tacks fail.

Pretty common on these old rigs now a days. Cutting the rear perch for sfr srbs was fun too

Was thinking about taking that spring box off and fabbing one with a built in nut plate or axes to it from the bottom

Not sure. I was frustrated last night today ive been clear minded thinking of all kinds of fabbing fixes

Driver side nut fell off just putting the bolt in.

Waiting on ubolts to show up in the mail today. Then test em out. Ended up with about 2" of lift compared to factory ragged out springs

That last pick has some kinda structure in the background pictured perfectly to look like your rig has one of those duck bill things that add shade? Actually looks pretty cool imo

Lol yeah. Thats the start to my shop. Has a roof and one wall so far. Pole barn style mostly all metal structure posts are pking lot light poles i cut down and bolted to concrete piers.
Been meaning to make a welder picker thing in the center aswell as a jeep lifter thing. You got me lol

Carnage can and meat grinder this weekend did pull of the vertical climb without winching at the cost of the 8.25 shaft. Grizzlied front still holding in there. With some more aggressive driving to get up and over near vertical ledges. Aswell as tipping side way both passenger tires airborn drivers side firmly planted in the rocks.
Last pic my steering pump is boiling fluid.
Took a few minutes to let it cool down.

Pretty cool group to wheel with and are willing to run the hard trails all helped winch multiple rigs when needed

Broke the passenger side 8.25 shaft on meat grinder. Disc brake did a fine job keeping it drivable. Finished out the trail and did 60miles on pavement home.

At the junk yard now seeing what I can scrounge up to fix 8.25 or upgrade. Probly carrier and shafts. Also may see if I can snag wj knuckles.

I talked about this for a long time. Wasn't 100% when if I do it. Going to cheap cookie cutter fox shocks sealed it for me in the end.
Though right now you can't find fox 12 or 14" coilovers. Accutune had one set of 12" 2.0 coilovers with resivors in stock, just happen to be king Otherwise it would have been a 12-18+ week wait.

Spring rates are 200/275 yes I weighed my xj. Valving by accutune. Accutune also did the number crunching to come up with spring rates. Great guys by the way.

Shooting for 5-6" of up travel and hopefully maintain my current ride height or within an inch or so

They aren't charged, will help me alot i hope.

Did do alittle adjusting on passenger side to make room. Drivers sides pretty much clear center for master cylinder

Will have progress or lack of progress later.

Right now I dont really know what im going to do.

I know that some how the axle fell of my jack and I had to take track bar and tie rod off to get it out. Thats when I called it quits last night.

Have lower in. Its sitting almost where coil spring was but about 2.5" wider. Welded through my C gusset and will get all boxes in

Currently cutting card board and trying to invision upper mount. It might turn into a hoop.

Sexy!! My junk is jealous

One upper mocked in, think ive nailed down bracket locations. Very glad I didn't go 14" 12" is more than enough shock on this jeep.

Lots of work left havent even touched passenger side. Drivers is far from done

I do have 1/4" frame stiffening finally happening lol. I kept thinking shocks aren't valved for all the weight im adding just to mount them.

Won't the engine heat cook/boil the contents of that remote reservoir? You seem to have it right above the intake manifold in one of the pics above.

Or is that only a temporary placement, and it'll end up in a cooler spot ultimately?

No idea right now where resivors will go. Im looking at where filter box used to be on drivers side. Also maybe along side the frame . Drivers side is now plated with 1/4" down to about where factory control arm brackets were.
The tower i fabbed is made mostly of 5/16" plate. Currently is bolted to frame side. Eventually I'll burn it in. Bolts for now incase I change my mind

May or may not need a bar between hoops. So far tower isn't gusseted in and is seeming solid.

Also bolted so I could put it back exactly where I mocked it up to. Will add a third bolt incase I think bolts will work. Not sure how i think about bolts alone. Bolts also allow the tower to move incase I ever move the axle forward now have a couple inches to coil spring clearance to spare.

I think there's enough vertical strength but even though plated frame may flex under load requiring some substantial gussetting and or bar tieing towers to eachother

Had to cut more to clear coil springs will toss a tire on just to be certain it clears before locking lower mount down

May also face the tower with 10gauge mainly so it looks better maybe get alittle more rigidity out of it being mostly fully boxed to under the upper mount.

Note to self dont forget to turn welder down when moving from burning 5/16 to gluing 1/4" plate to frame

Lower mount is not work at full droop and full stuff like this. Its not swinging in line with arc of travel will need to turn this to make it swing better. Its okay right height but looks binding at both extremes. Upper is good doesn't seem to use much misalignment

Also may take track bar bracket off and plate through it to the bumper and redo that bracket. But may wait

Hoping to go on a test ride by the weekend

Can't decide whats best orientation for lower mount. What do you guys think.
Firstpick might be best. But that seems wrong to me.
I like the last pic but it gets misalignment at both extremes. First pic does to but maybe not as much

I'll need to limit strap it just inside full droop.

The way the brackets tacked on its right at its misalignment limits

Ok, so that was just the "to get it out of your way", got it.

those picsT are huge - I have to zoom out to something like 50% or lower to see them without scrolling.

Ohhh shit I didn't know pics are huge normal size in my phone.

To get what out of my way
