What did you learn at WF 2018?

I learned that
1. Without AT&T I'm going to have some real nasty voicemails from people who are convinced I have service.
2. The camp store stocks 2 air mattresses
3. Rivit nuts are almost too much of a hassle
4. My Jeep is capable of alot more than I do with it.

Can't wait to go Wheeling again when it's a bit warmer.

1) The one spare part you forgot to pack is the one you will break.(tie rod)
2) This is one really great group of people.(kinda suspected it, but now know it)
3) It is possible to have fun in the winter.
4) The worst part of WF is the seeing and adding of want parts

1. Just because you have front stiffeners doesnt mean its good (two big cracks at steering box)
2. Ring and pinion swaps in the campground sucks.
3. Launching a ZJ off the steps in the quarry is fun to watch.
4. Dana 30s definitely don't work for me.

having a rig for your wife to drive is pretty cool
getting two rigs to and from when neither are registered is not cool
never thought id be able to sleep at my own house, while attending WF
this has to be one of the most damage filled WFs i've ever been to
Napier kept pizza hut in business for the rest of the month, if not year (THANK YOU AGAIN)
if you think you might have not cut enough fender for your new tires, cut more off
not learned, but reinforced - MJs can make things look easier than they are

1-driving a tj with no doors 88 miles in 30* weather is not fun
2-2.5 tj can get up to 60mph with wind at your back and going down hill
3-2.5 tj can drop to 40mph with wind at your front and going uphill
4-wheeling a stick is going to take getting used to
5-if you have a power steering leak bring plenty of fluid an you'll be just fine
6-a trailer is becoming more of a need, especially when you own a decent tow rig
7-taco bar is awesome and much smoother than i expected
8-there were more people dedicated to staying up late at the fire this year
9-sometimes you have to put your wife to bed, not the other way around
10-the designer of the shirts has cool ideas:eyes:

1.There are plenty of obstacles and areas tucked in corners of the Badlands we still haven't seen.

2.The current weak link in our rig is pretty cheap/easy to fix.

3.Bringing a personal mechanic would be amazing if I could afford it.

4.I guess sometimes I do win cool stuff, so i can stop claiming I never win things. :)

5.Somehow we can take an extra day off to prep and leave early and still end up arriving Thursday instead of Wensday.

6.You may want a chaser for your mixed drink at the VFW hall

7.After 7 years of attending WinterFest you can still see new obstacles and be thoroughly impressed with the community and camaraderie that makes Naxja a family in my book!

A tow rig is the only way to go...

Trust your spotter! It's their job to get ya thru the obstacle and to make you nervous at the same time :looney:

1) Ive been missing out not going to WF up until now

2) i second OutkastBoss on needing a chaser for VFW mixed drinks

3)chromoly shafts twist more than factorh shafts

4) Don't wait until the last minute to finish stuff on your jeep

If you plan to leave at 4 am, buy your beer before hand.

You don't need to have a keep to have fun at WF.

People will listen to you when you tell them a rock wall is like driving up a drive way.

Chuck leads a good green group.

Free lunch is always a good thing.

Free stuff at a free lunch is great.

Taco bar is a great dinner.

MWC beer glasses are awesome.

Winning an award for not having a jeep is both good and bad.

The fire is always fun.

You can get your jeep running a week late.

Better late than never...March was busy...

1. If you tell Bloose enough times, we will make the group photo.
2. Everyone loves tacos...
3. AT&T hot spot for the win in Attica!
4. ^That was the mobile club R wifi you might have seen on your phone...
5. 2 gig of data goes fast.
6. Where has this aluminum trailer been all my life.
7. I've missed the gas v10.
8. You can buy too many pizzas...Doug Napier says that's better than the alternative.
9. After being in Vegas the week before Winterfest, drinking at the VFW is like drinking for free.
10. No matter how big the sound machine, people still can't hear you...or maybe that's just Paul.
11. One week later makes warmer weather and a LOT busier badlands.
12. I'm glad I wasn't racing a motorcycle at the Badlands a week before.
13. Fat guy on a little bike, not a great mental picture.
14. Even if they didn't acknowledge you, people may have read what you wrote or heard what you said...except Paul.
15. Apparently a mohawk is a normal look for me, at least in March, at the Badlands.
16. Scooby...met...Scooby...

mac 'kept forgetting to post in here' gyvr
