Disable ABS in '00

Been doing searches all morning and from what I've read, to disable ABS in late model XJs, you need to:

- Remove the ABS relay from under the hood (PDC)
- Remove the ABS Fuse from the fuse panel

Some people were talking about cutting wires going to under-dash relays, etc but I found a few threads that indicated that wasn't required as disabling the fuses will no longer power the pump and other items.

Can anyone confirm if this is in-fact true?

Thanks!

I believe they're marked on the underside of the PDC.

but yes, just pull the fuses. My wife's 01 has been like that for years.

Yep. That's all you need to do.

For anyone who finds this via a search: DO NOT use this method on the 91 and older Bendix ABS... unless you like playing russian roulette with a 3300lb vehicle. Bendix ABS must be completely removed and replaced with a non-ABS booster/master for any kind of safety.
