There's only a couple of 4+ trails listed there ;) For those of you who have camped in this area before (since I haven't), what is the camping location like? Plain roughing it or designated areas like Little Naches? Vault toilets? Room for larger RV's/trailers?

Just down the road from the township of liberty proper. There are a few maintained camping areas. Room for motorhomes, and Port-a-johns are maintained, but no picnic tables or garbage disposal that I know of.

Rocking camping area too. That might be right on the border line of the burn ban time though, so check before you light a campfire, or everyone that is sitting around it will pay a hefty fine.

FYI, we will be in a field and not a campground. PLENTY of room for RVs, though no hook-ups. Bring your own water and potty provisions. :D Shouldn't be 'too' hard. :)

I neglected to put that up, was kinda thinking of that for the later details.

There is a big open field off the right hand side of the main road. Tons of room, for at least 500 people.

Here is a pic of some of it. Perty dark though. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n187/12GaugeXJ/100_2405.jpg

Correct Phil?

The big field is on the left headed toward Liberty from hwy97.The forrest campground is on the right at the next road and across the creek is more space down a little road that is tight for RV`s
There is a section of trails up higher that open either june 15 or july 15 ,might want to check on that.
The stump in the trail that caused problems before is gone..yahoo.

Yeah, that should be where we're staging...but I may have something in the works to get us into a site. I hate all the 'probablies' but it's the way it's turning out. At the very least we'll be staying in the field there. :)

So, this is only a one nighter?

Where is the closest town?

Since the event starts Saturday morning, I count it as a two-nighter...with Friday night being the first of two. Saturday night would be two of two, making it two nights total spent.

Closest town? Liberty, of course! Cle Elum if you're looking for lodging.

I already took 21st 22nd and 25th off.

I'm ready.party1:

So, what days do I need to take off?

Are we pulling into the camping location on Friday or Thursday?

Thursday like last year I would assume. Friday for the newbie deal, and Saturday and Sunday for the main event.

I will be there thursday, if not earlier.

Correct. If you're not doing the beginning driver portion, there's plenty of trail area to play around on for Friday. :)
