Hi Guys,

I'm reading quite long in this forum, so I thought it's time to present you my Cherokee XJ.

I'm building it to participate in Cross Country Events in Europe. The problem to build a race car in germany is that is has to be street legal, which is really hard to reach. I orientated myself a lot at your Jeepspeed rigs:loveu: .

So it all started with this boring grey XJ:

Then I started to build the car for racing. On it's way to his first race (24h race):

Then it was time for a fresh paintjob:

The newest project was to build a new prerunner bumper, because the old winch bumper was far too heavy for racing.::greensmok

So thats all for now. If someone's interested, I can post more images or specs.

Cheers from Germany.:sunshine:

Nice work Chris! Always fun to see what's going on with XJ's on the other side of the big pond!

How about some action photos? Would love to see that XJ catching air or getting throttled up!

I love everything except for that ramp that directs debris directly into your tie rod :)

That is a sexy, sexy machine. Dig the paint job.

Thanks a lot guys. Cool that you like my car. :kissyou:

Today I got my Hannemann Fiberglass Fenders and hydr. Bumpstops. Can't wait to put them in.:clap:

looking good so far, what kind of terrain are you guys running on?

The biggest race is the BAJA 300. It's in an old coal mine. So when there isn't to much rain, it is comparable to the desert. Last year there was actually plenty of rain, so it became really muddy...:banghead:

Got back from a big race last weekend. The Jeep did an awesome job. The shocks performed great after valving. It was very very muddy:

Wow! Now that is very cool!

Hei Chris,

Congrats on that rig, I have raced the GORM 24 Hour in Germany in 2012 and passed up a couple of Jeeps in a Suzuki Jimny, but from the looks of your rig, it looks like it would be hard to do that.

Nice work. I am importing my Jeep King Cherokee XD in May to Norway and the plan is to race various events and circuits in Europe and Scandinavia. And you are correct getting an American vehicle to pass EU kontrol is hard. Not impossible just tricky and at least 3 visits and $$$$ to pass EU:)

See you next summer

Cheers from southern Norway,
