Passing this info along for Greg, our man on the inside at the Forest Service.

Come delve into the eerie history of the San Bernardino Mountains on Halloween Day!

Together, we will explore remote sites that have been the scenes of bizarre and scary incidents that have plagued our woods for over the past 150 years!

Unbelievable mysterious tales of murder, suicide, genocide, executions, ghastly fatal crashes and accidents will be revealed along the way.

What else could be better for a Halloween fright?

Motoring in our four wheel drive vehicles through Holcomb Valley, Arctic Canyon, White Mountain, Coyote Flats, Horse Spring, Coxey Meadows, Little Pine Flats and with a little luck and no serious tragedies, back into Fawnskin.

We'll be stopping periodically on the trail to see first hand the places where these ungodly horrific events have taken place.

If you are brave enough to attend, you will need to have a capable four wheel drive with a minimum two inch lift. You must be capable of driving a four wheel drive vehicle over black diamond routes. OHV Volunteers need to be Black Diamond Certified 4x4 Operators. Let's be safe!! Please be careful and NOT create any more terrible tales to tell after this event is over!

We'll meet at Big Bear Discovery Center (in which some say is haunted) at 0845 and start this frightful adventure at 0900. We'll be returning no later then 1630.

Please bring a full tank of gas, food and drinking water (maybe some Halloween treats?). Dress in layers, wear over the ankle boots, bring work gloves (to restore Ghost Trails!), a camera and binoculars. For communications, a CB radio.

For those of you that want more?!? There will be a Trick or Treat Halloween celebration in Big Bear Lake Village starting at 1730 that is open for all to enjoy!!

I hope to have the pleasure of your company.

Your humbly disturbed and ghostly Tour Guide,

Ranger Greg.
