I may be one of the first ones home, so I'll start this list.

The top 100 items in no particular order.

1. Apparently Coal Keeps the Lights On.
2. I'm awful damn proud of the Jeep I built.
3. I should have bought some 688XXX number tickets and maybe I would have won more at the raffle.
4. People in Harlan KY are able to keep roadside Bonzai tree vendors in business.
5. Beer does a nice job of washing away the taste of dust in your mouth after a full day of wheeling
6. 2 days on the trail and a 10 hour round trip drive gives you one hell of a one armed farmer tan.
7. The SEC BOD puts on a spectacular trail ride
8. NAXJA has some pretty damn cool people to wheel with
9. If you ever need help with a spot, a tug, a repair, a ride to town, (pretty much anything), it's easy to find someone that will willingly lend their time and energy.
10. Harlan my be the daddy longlegs capitol of the world
11. Open/open on 31's doesn't mean you can't tackle some challenging trails and obsticles. It just means you may need to work harder to get through them.
12-100. (this bears repeating) Rail buggy drivers are loud, obnoxious, self serving, noisy, late night douchebags. And their ladyfolk are pretty trashy.

I learned:
1) A inner tube might work if you don't leave a screw driver in the tire with the tube.
2) A 16.5" tire will infact stay on a 16" rim with beadlocks and enough air.
3) Glen does bow to peer presure
4)An angle grinder running on someone's roof will gather a crowd in a hurry.
5)Next year the top really will come off Glen's jeep because he really doesn't care that much anymore.........

18). Shortdoug cooks a great burger
19) 16 gage metal makes a weak rod end
20). Ratchet straps are wonderful
21). NAXJA folks are GREAT, selfless, and caretakers of the nature we get to wheel in
22) Ask when you check in not to be parked by the buggy guys
23) Somebody has whatever part you need in their Jeep or at camp

so the buggy guys were not cool i figure?

1) i learned from the past 2 winterfest's that buying mass amounts of raffle tickets usually pays off
2) budds bypass, going down, is pretty scary.
3) buggy driver's SUCK! and will throw rocks all over your trailer and vehicle
4) having a fellow MJ owner as a neighbor was awesome!
and
5) You guys put on a GREAT event, congrats to all that were involved in the planning and executing. it was well worth the drive, and i am already planning on coming next year. And thanks for having us feel welcomed and making sure we had a ride to go on every day.

I learned:

Lockers are FANTASTIC!
Dougie flips burgers like a pro
The Empire Ladies are as hilarious as their men
Mortars are sketchy to say the least
Nate blows stuff up on Accident
Diamond Dave apparently says so
Sand rail drivers are probably the reason all the trails get closed
Betsy likes Lower rock garden
Tim can run part of lower rock garden with no railsand come out with unscratched rockers
Teva's are awesome
My tent is worth what I paid for it
Ed is a damn good spotter
Betsy doesn't like climbing hills with stock gears anymore

1)You can spend several thousand dollars on upgrades to prevent breakage and still break the same stuff you upgraded.
2)Patty(My wife),just about give me a heart attack, when she stuck her leg outside the jeep as it was falling her way into a rock.I will have tube doors before the next trip.
3)NAXJA members know how to wheel.
4) Doug grills a excellant burger.

Nick

I learned:

If your not quick your rig will get fixed before you have a chance to get out of the jeep
Apparently we shold all build a brick wall around our tents to keep them safe
Last year wasn't a fluke the crawl really is worth the drive!haha
Random Rednecks are esily influenced by Diamond Dave
Stock motor mounts will survive 1 day of riding in Harlan
Tyler and Nate put on quite a fireworks show (as long as you stay on your feet)
No rear shocks makes for a bouncy ride on the trail
A little PB blaster isnt too bad on a turkey sandwich
The SEC has an AWESOME BOD!

1. Drop brackets work.. both for flex and as boat anchors.

4. My wife is patient with me.
5. Pulling cable sucks but is well worth it.

In no particular order:

4.56s+locker+260x Ujoints= carnage for 80 feet.
My junk loves trees, just absolutely loves them. I think that header panel will be wall art in the Weinerbox.
I should not be allowed to play with fireworks.
When Diamond Dave says so, do it.
tow rig is cooler than my Jeep.
tow rig is S L O W, it needs a 10 speed.
Tyler's rear winch is real handy. (thanks Tyler!)
Doug will grill the crap out of some meat, provided you give him a grill that works. (Sorry Dougie, full tank next year buddy!)

The SEC BOD/Officers put on a great event. Keep up the good work fellas.

edit:
How could I forget, "woods buggy" owners are mostly assholes.

  1. A stroker, when happy, can sound and run amazing.
  2. An $8 air matress from Walmart makes for a much better sleeping experience at Harlan's campground
  3. D30 and C8.25 differentials can take a fair amount of slams on and against rocks.
  4. I needed rock rails and a re-gear long before the Crawl, now I REALLY need them to be able to play on the rocks more.
  5. Doug can grill a mean burger!
  6. The MWC (from those who I met this weekend) really aren't too bad afterall :D
  7. Rail buggies are good at about 2 things: Starting and revving for no reason every 30 minutes all night long, and tearing up the trails.
  8. The SEC BOD (now that i've finally met them in person) really bust their asses to make sure everybody has a great time, and hopefully they know how much their hard work was appreciated by everyone.
And of course, #9....

Diamond Dave said so!!!!!!

I had a blast guys! HUGE thanks to Ed and Mark and everybody else that was involved with the planning of this event. Glad I finally got a chance to meet everybody and put some faces with names, as well as see some old faces again. I will definitely be back next year!

1. When diamond Daves says its gonna be loud... believe him.
2. Rail buggies are absolutely annoying

5. Its now an official requirement for Tim to flop at least once at the crawl.
6. A mortar and a tent/air mattress don't mix well.
7.The crawl is 100 times more fun when you are in your own rig.
8. I have some of the best friends in the world and I wouldn't trade anything for them.
9. The SEXJA group is a lot of fun.
10. Apparently Im not the only one that hates ballistic fab.

1. SEC/NAXJA is the best group of people I have ever been a part of.
2. A good amount of torque and open diffs on Pinball makes for a good show.

4. Winch fests are tiring.
5. Potlucks make one mean meal.
6. The replacement for displacement is to constantly rev the motor at all times of the day/night.
7. A gravel/grassyish lot can be called a campground.

11. Diamon Dave must also have some secret course on running drunk.
12. I make some funny noises when about to roll over.
13. I need to be able to put the power into the ground now.
14. NAXJA BOD, members, friends and family are absolutely wonderful people.

sorry we have to ask, but who is diamond dave? must have been on wrong end of campground!

11. Dirk is tall.....

Hmmm...interesting observation. I was under the assumption that everyone else was just short.

Oh, and one more from me: Hot Pockets cooked on a hot motor between the valve cover and fuel rail for 4 hours make a nice hot lunch at the overlook!

1) Daughters can wheel with the best of them
