Good alignment shop in Sac?

I’ve always been a tape-measure-in-the-garage guy but it’s cold out and I don’t want to.

I need an alignment on stripy Jeep. 3.5” lift, short arms, drop brackets.

Is there anywhere better than the local Midas, who would be able to get the wheelbase and pinion/caster dialed in?

Along the 80 between Davis and Auburn would be great, or anywhere in Sacramento proper.

Thanks

My only local experience is Schultz Tire and Auto in Auburn, that's where my 6.0 went for an alignment after new ball joints, etc. in the front end from Quality Automotive Ford specialists across the street - they send all their alignment/tire business to Schultz.

I don't remember the cost but low vs. the total $$s of that visit :sad1: haha

But my truck drives straight! and thats what matters

Good to know, thanks. That’s not too far from the in-laws in Auburn. Maybe a reason to do a steering upgrade before paying to have it all dialed in right…then snow run?

I would just suck it up and do it on flat ground in the cold. First check for worn out components, then after you've replaced any worn out parts, do toe with a tape, measure front and back of the front tires at least 5 times each to verify, and then check caster on top of the ball joints and adjust LCAs as needed. Ive gotten my driveway alignments nailed down, to the point where when I take it in for an alignment afterward, the alignment specs are dead on to what I measured in my driveway, most of the time for me its worn out parts, not bad alignment.

I haven't been on a NAXJA snow run in YEARS!! Back when we did the new-years day snow runs on Mormon-Immigrant trail, I'd be down for one this winter.

We have a BOD meeting coming up so I'll add that to the docket to propose a date

Last year Emigrant was closed. Not sure what the situation is this year.

Blue Slonopotam!

One of the cool things back in the day was to go up towards Malakoff Diggins state park. I remember unplowed roads and you get to see the historic mining town. I’d like to try going back up that way.
