ABS tone ring

I just swapped my 97 abs front end for a 97 non-abs front end, ofcoarse i didnt realize this until i went to connect the speed sensors. is it possible to take the tone rings off the old front end and put em on the new front end? otherwise the damn abs light wont go off.

You can pull the ABS fuse from the fuse block under the hood = no more light.
It is going to be tough to remove the tone rings and put them on the new shafts. I think they are just press fits, but still tough to do without messing them up.

ya i'll prob just pull the fuse, i hate the abs anyways when driving in the dunes, you cant stop for shit in the sand.

Press off, press on. Apply a little heat to the ring to make things much easier. Most aftermarket axle shafts even have a shoulder to press the rings back onto.

Wouldn't the axle shafts just swap over, or is there some other difference? Does the non-ABS axle have the spots to mount the sensors?
