Cigar Relay Won't Stop Cycling

I came across a factory radio for the 01 XJ I recently bought. It came with a crappy old aftermarket unit and the speakers are really quiet so I picked it up. Pulled the radio, unplugged the adapter harness, factory connectors plugged right in to the factory radio and immediately a relay starts going nuts under the dash. It is the Cigar Lighter relay (top relay in pass. kick panel).

Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? I checked all the fuses, but they are fine.

First, check and make sure no other wire is spliced into the 12v supply wire. That's a convenient Key On pwr source.

Bought a different factory radio from the junk yard and it works fine. So something must have been wrong with the first one. Thanks for the reply.
