How did I end up with DLR's?

I just installed some LED headlights, high and low beam work fine but I can't figure out how those can operate as DLR's?

Yes, I meant DRL's! I love the lights right now, so we'll see. I needed to replace my 10 yr old Sylvania Halogens!

I didn't need DRL's, I just want to know how their operating? It's just a 3 wire sealed beam?

They don't come with the ign switch, but only when you start the engine!

Oh you mean they are on when the jeep is off? If that's the case, it's because they need such little power to operate and there is always a very low current going through the wiring. There are resistors you can install to eat that power instead of feeding into the led.

I believe if you use something like a 6v zener diode if the voltage is under 6v it will block all voltage until it goes over 6v (like when you turn the lights on) than it will work as normal

Still myphed at how this works, but the headlights are fantastic!

There is no ballast! And it's a sealed led housing!
