What you learned and pictures

Trying to setup camp in a rain storm sucks.

I learned:

- the hail is going to find you
- children are great key-fetchers
- petrified wood does burn...eventually
- Duratrac sidewalls are crap
- mashing your exhaust flat does not help the jeep idle well
- boudin is delicious, but boudin with strong beer, fire and tequila is even better

What pics I have, are dumped here.

- I am more comfortable as driver than passenger
- Texas can go from 75 and sunny to hailing in a matter of minutes
- It rains sideways in Texas
- I may need to consider the "doorless" mod for my Jeep.
- To the best of anyone's knowledge, I am the first person from another chapter to attend a Rides of March
- Softballs can be used as bumpstops
- You can bottom out a Dodge Charger leaving campsite B
- It makes no difference where you are, Cherokee guys are Cherokee guys and that's cool.
- The 4 guys I was able to ride with sure made me feel comfortable.
- I'd like to wheel in Texas in my own Jeep one day
- Brady acts older than he really is and is the only person that I know that smokes a pipe
- Wheeling in Texas is very similar to wheeling in Tennessee/Kentucky, but we are a lot greener, and y'all are a lot piney-er.
- The invitation is open for all y'all to come to Harlan and ride in July

Will pooped in the ocean.

- I miss my 4.56s - wind and hills SUCK
- We need better cold sleeping gear
- Putting a spare key hidden on my Jeep somewhere is a great idea

Couple bonus pictures from my phone:

And I still want an MJ

Make sure you get one with matching gearsets.....I hear it helps

Tossing in a shoutout here to Keith Jones - the guy who runs Jones Jeeps at the entrance to the park. He was clearly busy but took time to sawzall off the damaged part of my exhaust free of charge. Good people.

That's good to hear. Jones 4x4 gets a big ATTABOY. Nice to hear about supportive vendor. Why dont you post that on Hidden Falls Facebook page? :)

Just because I do things that old people do, doesn't mean I don't do stupid kid stuff.

Where we were, those were mostly cedar trees. The pines are east of I-35.

What didn't I learn?

Apparently my custom title can only be based off of t-shirts I have
A fifth of tequila by the fire doesn't go as far as it used to
You apparently need to zip up the tent and use the rain fly in order to keep rain out
People actually do eat kale but then they don't get awesome beer bellies like the rest of us
Sidney may have pooped in Rogers jeep for the 14 hours or so that he wouldn't get out
Walmart and Tractor Supply no longer have winter wear at this time of year
Part of last day rig check should include making sure that your trackbar mount bolts are actually tight
I don't want to sell :(

I really need to replace my rockers and armor up the lower quarters ... If I can get them straight enough.

Did someone say pictures? I've got videos downloaded, but need to figure out how to post them. Might need to get them into Youtube...
