Awesome day today! We had one Cherokee, one Wrangler, one Toyota, and TWO Explorers represent our chapter.

More later...

The combined stats for both trails:
4WDs: 22
ATVs: 6
Stops for litter: 16

I wrote up the "not a shooting area" on FS 710, and the sign at the junction of FS 710.1 & 712.2B. No pictures of the "not a shooting area."

Another issue showing up on public lands in Colorado: People camping longer than two weeks, and/or leaving a mess behind when they leave. The rule of thumb is to leave the site alone and report the location. If it is abandoned, the USFS has to evaluate the site for Haz-Mats. Not much to see here, so we picked up the trash and went on.

The only other thing worthy of mention was this post left at a camp site. It looks much better than someone attaching targets to trees, so I left it there. Maybe the next campers will find it a convenient place to hang a target.

A couple generic trail photos.

After we took off our volunteer hats, we had some firearms fun in a secluded area with no traffic. No pictures of that area, you just have to show up if you want to learn where these spots are.

One of those cool areas I did take a few pictures of was the ghost town. Chad is a history buff, so I walked him to the ghost town. He was gone for awhile, I snapped a few pictures in the mean time.

Temperatures were in the high 30's when we got off the mountain. Perfect Colorado weather!

Nice. One of these days I'll have a jeep that I can drive places. Sorry I couldn't make it.

The mountain won't go anywhere before then. :)

Before I forget, again, lil' dirty deserves a shout-out! He worked his day job, his night job, then drove down from Cheyenne to represent this chapter.

THANKS DAVID!!!!!!!!!! And Matt, Sean, Chad, and Leila!

I am bummed I missed this! How often do they happen?

We have to make at least two runs per season.

Awesome! Can't wait for the next one! Spring/Fall I assume?
Pretty much! This year, the BOD sat down, discussed, and scheduled monthly runs. The Adopt-a-Road was penciled in for two of those.
