New camper/trailer build

Yea I'm only gonna have like 2-3". Wondering if I should just switch it back over to spring over and be done with it. Don't really feel like cutting all the brackets back off the frame and buying new ones

I'd have to measure but I honestly think it's 2-3 on mine...

Mines a low boy if it makes a difference.

I can measure this weekend when I go to the badlands, loaded and unloaded.

Haven't gotten much done lately been to busy. Did figure out I think I'm gonna have to build drive over fenders. Tires would just barely clear fenders.

Hey I saw this project on Saturday!

Well finally added a couple gussets to the ramp mounts today and actually put the jeep up on trailer to see how it all sat. Overall it wasn't too bad. Think I may put a couple small flip down jacks on back corners to help with trailer squat when loading vehicles. Just about lifted back tires off EX off the ground.

Got some paint put down on trailer today along with the rest of the boards. Still have to pick up 1 board to finish it. Wiring is all done on it. Will be calling the sheriff out so I can get started on getting the title made for it

Also put a couple mounts on side of trailer for drop down legs for the rear of trailer to keep it from squatting so bad when loading

Well it's about time to finish this darn project. Trailer still needs a couple ramp holders made and it will be completely finished.

Decided to bring pop up camper home today and start getting it ready to mount on trailer. Found out I'm basically gonna have to replace all 4 sides of the roof. Gonna get started on it this week.

Where did you get the straps? They look nice!

Actually found them at the Indy 4wd jamboree last year. Haven't used them yet but they look like decent straps.

Well decided to try and make our neighbors scratch their heads again at what we are doing. Still need to permanently mount the camper to the trailer this week. Ended up with about 16 feet of open trailer deck behind camper. So far truck seemed to hold weight on. Wasn't on the over load springs yet so that's good.

where are you putting the propane tanks for the camper?

The camper doesn't have any stove or furnace in it to need propane. It's a pretty bare bones camper. Doesn't even have a fridge in it either. If we decide to put a grill or something on it I might just mount the tank in the tongue or somewhere in between jeep and camper.

Yea they are mainly there for support when loading the jeep on. So far they are working out decent.

They were just a bunch of scrap steel i had lying around so i welded it up and bought a little pin for it. Has worked well so far.

We welded on (2) 2" receiver tubes (1 on each rear corner) to my buddies trailer and used 2" square tubing and drilled holes for multi positional mounting. We had a couple of XJ u-bolt plates and welded one on each tube as a foot, worked out great. When not in the down position you can slide it up and then pin in position, or you can remove my just taking the pin and leg out.

I've had these on my trailer for years...

This pic is from 2009.

All hand made, drilled, uses a hitch pin.

Well think this trailer will be going on down the road. Looking to get just a regular 16ft trailer. What do you all think something like this thing is worth?
