Photobucket charging 400$ a year to host pictures now.

Well this sucks, I have been using Photobucket since 2007... Lots and lots of pictures here, now I get an email saying you have to pay them and all my pics are gone, even the main page of naxja has an error link from a Photobucket pic.. 400$ a year... Not going to happen....

This could be really bad for the site...

Any recomdations on pic hosting, will Google images display like Photobucket? I'll be pulling all my pics into Google images regardless and never upload to Photobucket again.

It's not phishing, I went directly to photobucket to verify, they have changed their "terms and conditions".

That pic above is supposed to be of the front of my XJ...

Well then, looks like I'm in for a few missing pics. I'm gonna miss having to wait on five minutes of adds that don't load just to upload one image.

Mine seems to still have a front.

Even at that something feels fishy. Then again it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.

Sounds like they are taking up the legal malware game to get money. Imgur is the best pic hosting site I've found.

My pix still work. I did have the basic upgrade package so I didn't get ads all over the place when I accessed.

It's the only place I have copies of photos on someone else's server. I think I have a grand total of 300; half of them are flattering renditions on Obama.

I have used fototime.com for years. $35 a year for 8GB of storage. Only time I maxed out my bandwidth was when I hosted a few pics on the NAXJA

splash page.

I had 1800 pics in photobucket... All backed up to Google photos, but you can't host from there.

I already had a Flickr acct from when I was going on the forums for the XBox Forza games, so far this is the only thing I've recently downloaded on both accounts.

I'm really liking these little cars with everything I read about them, just find it funny how much they look like an Angry Bird though! by bjoehandley, on Flickr

Working on getting things that I haven't already purged downloaded onto my external HD, kind of a pain the in arse to make things work and things are going slow.

FYI folks if you need a new hose I'd recommend SmugMug The site owner is a forum administrator of another forum I'm on.
