On 9/2/12, Dan "Fore Wheeler" Wheeler voiced his concern for a stronger regulation on NAXJA MWC required trail equipment in the area of fire extinguishers. After a time of deliberation and discussion, it is decided that the MWC will now strongly suggest that participants carry at least 2 of the smaller fire extinguishers or one much larger extinguisher.

In an informative letter, the Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association (WHOVA) informed the MWC Treasurer, John 'Ram Rod' Popp that our land use donation is being used in the manner of which intended.

WHOVA had this to say:

"On September 12th The Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association met with a team from the U.S. Forest service To idscuss issues affecting long term continued motorized recreational access to the Pipeline 4x4 Trail on the eastern side of the Chequamegon - Nicolet nationl forest.

They were given a grant project ( RTA-466-10)
The grant allows WOHVA to utilize federal recreational trails act grant funding to rehabilitate the access to the pipeline 4 x 4 trail. Forest Service road # 55552 at FR # 904385 both roads are located in the eastern most region of the Laona / lakewood ranger District Of the CNNF. This grant project is part of a USFS/WOHVA partnership ( outlined in the 5 year memo of understanding)

Work on FR# 9044385 was to begin on September 24th and any closures were to only last two weeks."

Although there was no formal mention of the MWC, this proves to show that our donated monies are being utilized to their full potential.

On or near the date of 11/10/12, in an official decision, it was made that the responsibilities of the MWC Store and Winterfest Registration become the duties of the Treasurer henceforth.

WinterFest 2013 was another great one for the MWC. I always appreciate seeing people who've never made the trip before. That being said:

We sold 130 dinner tickets (7 over last year!) and we had 97 pre-registered persons.

A great thank you goes out to those of you who have done your best to make everything easier. Everyone from the few who remembered their waivers to those who volunteer to lead/gun the trails to the people who stick around after dinner to make sure the VFW is as clean or cleaner than when we arrived to the people who open their wallets for the raffle. Last but certainly not least, our sponsor: Iron Rock Offroad.

Thank you very much for all that everyone did.

On 5/6/2013, President Dan (ForeWheeler) Wheeler made a motion to use MWC monies for a land use donation towards Cadillac Jeepers Fence Fund in Mesick, Michigan. This would be $250 from MWC and $250 from national, for a total of $500. This is where the Blessing of the Jeeps is held and it is also a soccer field for youth soccer.

Both President Dan (ForeWheeler) Wheeler and Director Matt (MacGyvr) Rowland were at the Blessing of the Jeeps this past weekend and "it is truly an awesome event." There were over 1400 Jeeps and approx 4500 people and several vendors including Jeep.

Also on 5/6/2013, the motion was passed with a vote of:

Yay - 5
Nay - 0

This is an excellent venue for the MWC to get our name and purpose out to the public and larger communities.

On 5/13/13, Director Matt (MacGyvr) Rowland brought up discussion of mandating the inclusion of price and location in the MWC Classifieds section when posting items for sale. Discussion led to the determination that these were fair additions to the forum rules and an accurate location on the Member/Supporter/User's post box was sufficient enough for location.

Also on 5/13/13, motion was made and votes were taken.

Yay - 5
Nay - 0
