edit post option

Question...on some of my posts, I can see and click the "edit post" button, but some it's not there. I've checked everything in my CP, and the little box at the bottom of the thread says I "may edit" post, but it just isn't there. Is that a glitch, or am I not checking (or unchecking) something I should/shouldn't be?

You can only edit for a short time after posting.

That must be it....the older posts are the ones I can't edit.
