CB or hand held,s. My Bafeong (sp) needs programmed.

We use Baeofong Radios on the trail Wayne. The chapter owns 10, so we will loan them out to people that need them, although a lot of people have them now.

I think the hard group is the only group that still uses CBs.

Yes I generally use my CB. Some day I might actually buy one and get it set up for the rig.

Brian, the ones that the SEC owns are Baofeng UV-5RA

Google that and it'll pop up a bunch of sites to buy one.

I clip mine to the visor unless stuff gets interesting then it rides in the cupholder or the copilot holds it. You can get a lapel mic to clip on your shirt if you're worried about hearing it.

That bracket is nice though.

You can weld a 1/4-20 nut on to the back of some steel plate and screw a ram mount ball into it and then the mounting options are endless.

Do you wear your helmet at all times, because I am pretty sure you never listen........:D

Maybe it's more of I'm old and cannot hear... Did you move? I'll be in New Albany late July.

I don't understand. I'd have to see this I'm a visual person.

I don't think you not understanding has anything to do with your eyes :)

You get one of these:

http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-273-1U

Then you weld one of these to the back of some 1/8 plate steel, cut to the size you want:

https://www.fastenal.com/products/details/0147964

Screw the ball into the nut.

Then you can use any 1" ball mount from your favorite online retail store, suction cup to the windshield, screw it to the dash, use a rollbar clamp on a cage.

The radio clips on the plate.

Not sure what the helmet is for, the jeep never moves.

I just realized I have never charged my Baofeng. A solid 6 days full use in it since WF 2016.
