Tie Rod Impact Socket?

I have been bending alot of tie-rods lately, and have been struggling getting the tie-rod ends off junk yard tie-rods.

I really would like to use an air tool to remove these frozen tie-rod ends. I found this "tie rod impact socket". http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/SK-84683.html

I am assuming I put the tie-rod in a vise, and place this over the tie-rod end, with the slot grabbing the tie-rod end stud. Is this the correct usage of this tool?

Never had a problem removing the tie rod end from the steering knuckle or the pitman arm...
Just remove cotter pin, loosen and remove the castle nut and then take a
5 lb sledge hammer a wrap on the thick part of the knuckle or pitman arm.... The shock (vibration) will allow the taper to move out of the hole with ease... You can always spray a little KROIL on the hole, let soak and then wrap on it....
