NAC-Fest. June. Bring your shit :explosion

Hey y'all. Just bought a 1990 xj. Yes I lifted it 4.5 inches and squeezed some 35" buck shot wide mudders off craigslist. Some fender trimming and hacking. Changed the engine out form a 1998 xj. Runs a lot better now. Relocated the alternator to the AC bracket. Installed a Lincoln locker in the rear. Cut and rewelded the rear shock brackets.
Fun ass hell in the mud. Got my hands on a HP44 front/9" rear out of a 1972 F150,4.56 gear. I need to make some bumpers sometime. I'll get some pics posted here in a few days.

LongNeckGoosie here, long time Jeep owner, this 1997 is my third XJ, I've also owned two 99 TJs. Came here looking for a wiring diagram for the 97 XJ, but no luck so far. Third brake light is out, but everything with it seems okay.

First post here, from CT

Been DD'ing my Cherokee for acouple years in stock form. Finally got some love today. Had a local body guy cut and fold the rear and wheel wells and quarters and replace the rockers with box tube and paint and seal everything up acouple weeks ago.

Today the Springs replaced with quadratic stock HD leafs with jks boomerang shackles and bilstein shocks. Rear sway was deleted. Lots of cutting, heating and drilling in the rear.

Front was replaced with hd progressive (upcountry) coils and a 3/4" spacer again with bilsteins.

Heavy duty diff covers front and rear with fresh fluid, all new rear brakes, and a set of 5 BFG A/T KO2 in 31x10.5r15

Unfortunately my jks quick disconnects have not arrived yet so my sway bar is just tied up out of the way.

Hey guys, my name's Matt and I live in Philly. I've always had Jeeps but they've all been Grands, always wanted an XJ then stumbled onto this MJ recently instead! It's a 91 Eliminator, 4.0 HO, AX15, 4WD short bed. Been fixing it up slowly for about 6 months but it's about ready to see some (probably mild) trails soon! Was thinking about checking out Wharton State Park, is that still a thing? I've never been but I'd seen there was some talk about it getting shut down soon? Anyway, if anyone in Philly wants to wheel sometime lemme know!

The day I got it - trailered it back from West Virginia

As it sits now - I'm keeping it mostly stock for now then might throw a small lift on it once I decide what I wanna do with it.

Finished a quick simple bumper this weekend. Swapped springs, new shackles, relocated fuel tank.

Relatively close to stock right now. Only upgrade so far were the wheels (came with them) Tires, and some maintenance stuff. I have a rancho 1.5" Leaf spring kit and rs7000 shocks in my hall waiting to install just waiting on bushings.

Hoping to have a lot of fun and learn a lot from everyone here.

I'm Also an MECP certified 12v installer so any electronics questions feel free to PM me.

Here's to the future!

Hey All:

My Name's Jesse, living in Mineola, NY (Long Island), and I bought a '97 XJ three weeks ago. Really excited to build it up, as I consider myself very DIY, and always willing to learn more. I need to build my XJ up as a DD, but also capable for mild trails and camping. Here's the rig:

As of right now I've plasti-dipped the dash, switched out the idiot lights, put in a radio, changed all the steering components, fixed the AC, changed the serp belt, and cleaned up the throttle body. Thankfully, I bought the XJ pre-lifted, with bilstein shocks, springs and leafs from Rusty's Offroad.

I have a million ideas of things I can do, but I'm gonna scour the forums to come up with more ideas. Thanks!

Hello, I am a long time West Coast wheeler that moved to Southern Maryland.
Just bought a 1996 XJ.
Installed JCR frame stiffeners, SS brake lines, 3 inch lift, 8.25 axle, a Powertrax no-slip, rear main seal, JKS sway bar disconnects and headliner.
Looking to meet up with some local wheelers to have some fun.

Just moved (back) to Virginia Beach from Utah. Technically I'll be in NAC but I think all my time will be split between the Appalachians in VA and NC if I ever get the chance to wheel this thing for real again.
Currently staying in our family beach house in Duck, NC until our house sells in Utah.
Just thought I'd say hi.

Corolla beach, NC
