Couldn't believe I made two hoops that were supposed to be exactly the same (for the rack) and they came out almost perfect. only about a half in longer in one corner so I cut it a little and fixed it up.
100_2179.jpg

Just tacked the two together to see how it'll look on the heep.

I dunno JD, I think that is too much weight to toss on top of your rig.
That thought had crossed my mind. But it's not very heavy. I don't think it's any heavyer than some of the other exocage tops I've seen. :dunno:

Plus before I had the hilift upthere and the tire. Witch will now both be down lower on the swing out carrier!

got two interior hoops bent and test fitted today. and started removing all the interior carpet and trim ect. So I can weld the cage inside the jeep.

B and c Hoops they actually fit pretty darn good I was supprised. although I did have to bend 3 to get 2 that fit. Opps guess I can use the other one for gussets ect.

Drilling a hole in the roof :wierd:

Let me know what you guys think!

Thats it for now Gona go do some wheelin Sunday

Honestly I think the A pillar bar could be closer to the pillar. But It could just be the pic. The rest looks GREAT... Cant wait to see it tomorrow.

Ya I think it's the pic. It's pretty close. The D pillars are not near as close and I may wind up redoing them. Not sure I like em. I'll see what you guys think in the morning! Oh and it's raining on my nice new up painted cage.:rattle:

what size lift do you have on your jeep
7.5" aprox. wish it was a little shorter. a little too tippy! :gee: Probley gona get some wheels that stick out a little more and then cut some more fender before I finish the tube fenders. them lower it a couple inches!:yelclap:

thanks for the reply, im start to do some research and planning for my xj. what size is the suspension lift and what are the tire sizes.
What frank means is there is no body lift on an XJ.Hasta

I have 7.5" of suspension lift and 35"tires

If I was doing it again I'd go 5.5 or maybe 6 at the most!

Ben a while. Finnally got some work done this week.

Tire carrier is just about done. Just need to mount the jerry cans and Hilift!

2 5/8 bolts should be srong enough but if they ever do break I can upgrade to 1" by just removing the bushungs in the hindge
